Gerard Dempsey, Chairman

GERARD DEMPSEY (joined Board 2003) is a Chartered Accountant with experience in corporate, financial and management accounting. His background includes involvement with Board Audit Committees and corporate governance issues.

 

Sr Margaret Armstrong

SR. MARGARET ARMSTRONG has been a Daughter of Charity since 1957.  Her main areas of experience are  in General, Geriatric and Community Nursing. She also has post-graduate qualifications in Health Administration, Health Education and Health Planning. She is currently a member of the Daughters of Charity Provincial Council, and works part time in Pastoral Care at Marillac.

 

 Mary Clancy

MARY CLANCY (joined Board 2008) is a trained teacher with 36 years experience as an infants and special teacher, including nine years as principal in a special school. Mary has been a member of the Pastoral Care Team at Cabrini for Health for 12 years, and volunteers at “Wellsprings for Women”, a Dandenong centre supporting migrant, refugee and isolated women.

 

 Rhonda Fitch

RHONDA FITCH (joined Board 2005) has been a registered psychologist  since 1980, working initially in schools as an educational psychologist and later in general private practice. Now retired from practice, Rhonda also volunteers at the Victorian Women's Trust.

 

 Greg Grant

GREG GRANT (joined Board 2009) has sixteen years of varied work experience, and has been successfully self-employed for the past six years.  A trained horticulturalist, he is also involved in sporting and theatre activities in the community.  Greg has cerebral palsy and brings the Board valuable personal knowledge and perspectives on the disability sector and access to services for people with a disability.

   

 Sally Moore

SALLY MOORE (joined Board 2009) recently retired from a 32-year nursing career, working in acute clinical settings and also in education and research about allergy and immune disorders.  She has a long connection with Marillac and the Daughters of Charity and a special interest in Marillac's services.  Sally and her husband, Francis Moore (Marillac Chair for 15 years until 2007) have five children and share a dedication to service in the spirit of St Louise.

 

 Tim Mulvany

TIM MULVANY (joined Board 2011) has more than 38 years’ experience as a practicing solicitor and has his own boutique legal firm in Melbourne. Tim has considerable experience representing children in the Family Court and was named Victorian Children’s Lawyer of the Year for Outstanding Representation of Children in 2002. Tim is also President of the Board of the Children’s Protection Society of Victoria and has been a member and chair of the Law Institute’s Children and Youth Issues sub-committee.

    

  Johanna Snelleman

JOHANNA SNELLEMAN attends all Board meetings in her capacity as Chief Executive Officer of Marillac. Appointed in October 2000, Johanna came to the position of CEO with professional qualifications and considerable experience in the disability sector, both in Australia and overseas.
